Our minor surgery program is led by Dr. H. Bimesl, a widely respected family physician known for his calm, meticulous procedural work. Patients from across the GTA come to Ansley Grove for skin lesion removal, cyst excision and in-office procedures that would otherwise require a hospital referral.
Procedures are done under local anaesthetic, in a dedicated procedure room, with clear aftercare instructions. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.

Do I need a referral for minor surgery?+
No referral is needed for Ansley Grove patients. For non-rostered patients, please call and we'll walk you through the next steps.
Is the procedure painful?+
All procedures are performed under local anaesthetic — you'll feel a quick pinch for the freezing, then nothing during the procedure itself.
Are cosmetic mole removals covered?+
Cosmetic removals are not OHIP-covered. Medically indicated excisions and biopsies are covered. We'll be transparent about this up front.
